Wedding Venues in Troy, Michigan

Troy, Michigan is a busy city with a wide variety of cultures present.  It’s fitting that there are so many places in the city to get married, and they cater to a wide variety of ceremonies, budgets and tastes.  In no particular order, here is a list of 12 venues that are worth checking out for your wedding. 

 

1.      Petruzello’s

o   Petruzello’s is a family owned and operated business on the north side of Troy.  There are three ball rooms available and an outdoor terrace event space.  They have lots of experience with many different types of weddings and have served Troy for over 40 years.  The rooms can accommodate groups from 80 to 700 people.  There is an elegant stairway and fireplace in the entrance. 

 

2.      San Marino Club

o   The San Marino Club was established in 1938.  It is a lovely building reminiscent of Mont Titano’s castle-like structure.  This landmark can be found along Big Beaver Road in the heart of Troy.  With everything from garden spaces to ballrooms, the San Marino Club has many great options for your big day.  They can accommodate from 20-800 people. 

 

3.      Troy Community Center

o   The city of Troy operates the Troy Community Center Banquet Center and it is located on Livernois Road.  You can find a number a large banquet rooms available at reasonable prices for all kinds of events.  The room capacity ranges from 8 to 312 people. 

 

4.      Troy Historic Village

o   The 1837 Village Chapel, charming outdoor Village Green with picturesque Gazebo, or newly-restored 1837 Niles-Barnard House are great locations for your wedding.  Most wedding packages include access to all of the historic buildings on the day of your event.  The Village Chapel has stained glass windows and a historic bell, but don’t worry there is modern air conditioning present.  It can accommodate 110 guests.  Outdoor Ceremonies with up to 300 people can be held on the Village Green.  The Niles-Barnard House can accommodate 75 guests. 

o   You can also reserve time at Troy Historic Village just for photos, if you have a special place in your heart for historical settings. 

 

5.      Maggiano’s Little Italy

o   This wonderful restaurant is well known for it’s fabulous food.  However, they also offer unforgettable spaces for weddings.  The private event spaces can accommodate from 10 to 250 Guests.  They are conveniently located in the center of Troy on Big Beaver. 

 

6.      Kilgour Scottish Centre

o   Are you getting married in a kilt, or do you just love your Scottish heritage?  The St. Andrew’s Society of Detroit  purchased and renovated this location in 2010. It is the home of the Detroit Scots for their meetings and social events throughout the year.  When not booked by the Detroit Scots, the hall is available to rent to the public for events large or small.  There are 3 different rooms available for parties ranging in size from 10 to 210 people.  A kitchen is available for your caterer to use and they offer reasonable prices. 

 

7.      American Polish Cultural Center

o   This unique venue has a rather unusual appearance, the construction materials came from many sources and areas within the United States and Europe. The interior showcases woodwork from prominent residences, such as the Rockefeller Family Estate.  Prior to becoming the home for the American Polish Cultural Center, the building was an Architectural Museum.  The venue is available for weddings of between 20 and 400 people and has several different halls

 

8.      MSU Management Education Center

o   The Management Education Center is a full service conference center. 

o   However, there are several options for use as a wedding Venue.  A formal dining room, dramatic lobby and outdoor patio area make excellent locations for a reception or ceremony.  It provides a romantic and private experience for your special day.  They can serve wedding groups of 80 to 300 people. 

 

9.      Stage Nature Center

o   This is our favorite place to take a walk during any season, but it also makes a great location for a wedding.  Stage Nature Center is operated by the City of Troy.  There are 100 acres of space to explore.  Walking trails, creeks, bridges, towering pines, boardwalks, regal oak trees, and meadows can all be found here.  There are many wild animals, and quite a few that are kept in captivity for rehabilitation or educational purposes.  For weddings there is an indoor space available that can accommodate up to 65 people.  For outdoor weddings there are 50 outdoor seats under a lovely pavilion.  It is not uncommon to see many deer, turkey and other wildlife on your visit, and there are wildflowers at the right time of year. 

 

10.  Macedonian Cultural Center (MCC) Banquets & Events

o   The MCC can handle any size event.  Boasting 400 parking spots, they are ready to take on events with 50 to 500 people.  The MCC is located in the Northeast of Troy.

 

11.  Detroit Marriot Troy

o   Known as a high class hotel brand, the Marriot is experienced with holding large events.  It’s a wonderful place for a wedding, and has a ball room with capacity of 400 people.  If you have guests coming from out of town, or just want to make the night of your wedding easy by staying in the same location as the party, it makes a lot of sense to have your wedding here. 

 

12.  Embassy Suites by Hilton

o   The Embassy Suites by Hilton has a capacity of 150 people, and advertises that it is a perfect place for one stop shopping intimate weddings.
