Before diving into the details, start with a list of your wedding day schedule. This doesn&rsquo;t have to be perfect; think of it as a starting point. Jot down the key events: ceremony, reception, and any special moments like the first dance, first look or cake cutting.&nbsp; If there are special parts of the day you would like to include such as a first look, or a unique family tradition make sure they are on the list.&nbsp;

<h1>Use the Most Important Events as Anchors</h1>

Events such as the ceremony and dinner service will need to be established as anchors and then planned around. You should also consider which events are the most important.&nbsp; Do you really want a first look before the ceremony?&nbsp; Use the most important events as an anchor and set aside sufficient time for them.&nbsp; Your venue plays a big role in shaping your timeline. If you&rsquo;re getting married at a stunning location here in Troy, like the elegant San Marino Club or the charming Troy Historic Village, make sure to account for travel time between locations and any venue-specific restrictions. This will help you avoid any last-minute surprises.&nbsp;

If you&rsquo;re planning to do a first look before the ceremony, make sure to allocate around 30 minutes for this as well.&nbsp; Doing first looks ahead of time can allow for bridal portraits and formal photos to take place prior to the ceremony.&nbsp; This would allow you&nbsp; to mingle with guests after the ceremony rather than be whisked away for photos while the cocktail hour occurs.&nbsp;&nbsp;

<h1>Get Everyone Ready Early</h1>

When it comes to your ceremony, timing is everything. Plan for everyone to be in place and ready at least 15-30 minutes prior. This buffer time helps ensure that everyone is settled and that you get those breathtaking pre-ceremony moments. Make sure to discuss how long the ceremony will be with the officiant and let your photographer know about any important parts of the ceremony or surprise events.&nbsp; As your photographers, we&rsquo;ll be there to capture every magical detail, but planning ahead helps make sure you have all the memories you want.&nbsp;

After your &ldquo;I dos,&rdquo; it&rsquo;s often time for portraits and mingling. Some couples will greet people as they leave the ceremony, and others prefer to run off to do formal photos and bridal portraits.&nbsp; Depending on the size of your wedding and the locations, allow 1-2 hours for family photos and bridal party shots. If you&rsquo;ve planned a cocktail hour, this is a great time to get those shots while guests are enjoying themselves.

With the formalities behind you, it&rsquo;s time to enjoy dinner and dancing. Typically, couples make a grand entrance announced by a DJ, and dinner is served after that, with the first dance and other special moments like speeches and cake cutting following soon after. Troy, Michigan is a busy city with a wide variety of cultures present.&nbsp; It&rsquo;s fitting that there are so many places in the city to get married, and they cater to a wide variety of ceremonies, budgets and tastes.&nbsp; In no particular order, here is a list of 12 venues that are worth checking out for your wedding.&nbsp;

1.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Petruzello&rsquo;s
o&nbsp;&nbsp; Petruzello&rsquo;s is a family owned and operated business on the north side of Troy.&nbsp; There are three ball rooms available and an outdoor terrace event space.&nbsp; They have lots of experience with many different types of weddings and have served Troy for over 40 years.&nbsp; The rooms can accommodate groups from 80 to 700 people.&nbsp; There is an elegant stairway and fireplace in the entrance.&nbsp; 
&nbsp;
2.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; San Marino Club
o&nbsp;&nbsp; The San Marino Club was established in 1938.&nbsp; It is a lovely building reminiscent of Mont Titano&rsquo;s castle-like structure.&nbsp; This landmark can be found along Big Beaver Road in the heart of Troy.&nbsp; With everything from garden spaces to ballrooms, the San Marino Club has many great options for your big day.&nbsp; They can accommodate from 20-800 people.&nbsp;

3.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Troy Community Center
o&nbsp;&nbsp; The city of Troy operates the Troy Community Center Banquet Center and it is located on Livernois Road.&nbsp; You can find a number a large banquet rooms available at reasonable prices for all kinds of events.&nbsp; The room capacity ranges from 8 to 312 people.&nbsp; 
&nbsp;
4.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Troy Historic Village
o&nbsp;&nbsp; The 1837 Village Chapel, charming outdoor Village Green with picturesque Gazebo, or newly-restored 1837 Niles-Barnard House are great locations for your wedding.&nbsp; Most wedding packages include access to all of the historic buildings on the day of your event. &nbsp;The Village Chapel has stained glass windows and a historic bell, but don&rsquo;t worry there is modern air conditioning present.&nbsp; It can accommodate 110 guests.&nbsp; Outdoor Ceremonies with up to 300 people can be held on the Village Green.&nbsp; The Niles-Barnard House can accommodate 75 guests.&nbsp; 
o&nbsp;&nbsp; You can also reserve time at Troy Historic Village just for photos, if you have a special place in your heart for historical settings.&nbsp;

5.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Maggiano&rsquo;s Little Italy
o&nbsp;&nbsp; This wonderful restaurant is well known for it&rsquo;s fabulous food.&nbsp; However, they also offer unforgettable spaces for weddings.&nbsp; The private event spaces can accommodate from 10 to 250 Guests.&nbsp; They are conveniently located in the center of Troy on Big Beaver.&nbsp;

&nbsp;

6.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Kilgour Scottish Centre
o&nbsp;&nbsp; Are you getting married in a kilt, or do you just love your Scottish heritage? &nbsp;The St. Andrew&rsquo;s Society of Detroit &nbsp;purchased and renovated this location in 2010. It is the home of the Detroit Scots for their meetings and social events throughout the year. &nbsp;When not booked by the Detroit Scots, the hall is available to rent to the public for events large or small.&nbsp; There are 3 different rooms available for parties ranging in size from 10 to 210 people.&nbsp; A kitchen is available for your caterer to use and they offer reasonable prices.&nbsp; 
&nbsp;
7.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; American Polish Cultural Center
o&nbsp;&nbsp; This unique venue has a rather unusual appearance, the construction materials came from many sources and areas within the United States and Europe. The interior showcases woodwork from prominent residences, such as the Rockefeller Family Estate. &nbsp;Prior to becoming the home for the American Polish Cultural Center, the building was an Architectural Museum.&nbsp; The venue is available for weddings of between 20 and 400 people and has several different halls

8.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; MSU Management Education Center
o&nbsp;&nbsp; The Management Education Center is a full service conference center.&nbsp; 
o&nbsp;&nbsp; However, there are several options for use as a wedding Venue.&nbsp; A formal dining room, dramatic lobby and outdoor patio area make excellent locations for a reception or ceremony.&nbsp; It provides a romantic and private experience for your special day.&nbsp; They can serve wedding groups of 80 to 300 people.&nbsp; 
&nbsp;
9.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Stage Nature Center
o&nbsp;&nbsp; This is our favorite place to take a walk during any season, but it also makes a great location for a wedding.&nbsp; Stage Nature Center is operated by the City of Troy.&nbsp; There are 100 acres of space to explore.&nbsp; Walking trails, creeks, bridges, towering pines, boardwalks, regal oak trees, and meadows can all be found here.&nbsp; There are many wild animals, and quite a few that are kept in captivity for rehabilitation or educational purposes.&nbsp; For weddings there is an indoor space available that can accommodate up to 65 people.&nbsp; For outdoor weddings there are 50 outdoor seats under a lovely pavilion.&nbsp; It is not uncommon to see many deer, turkey and other wildlife on your visit, and there are wildflowers at the right time of year.&nbsp; 
&nbsp;
10.&nbsp; Macedonian Cultural Center (MCC) Banquets &amp; Events
o&nbsp;&nbsp; The MCC can handle any size event.&nbsp; Boasting 400 parking spots, they are ready to take on events with 50 to 500 people.&nbsp; The MCC is located in the Northeast of Troy.

11.&nbsp; Detroit Marriot Troy
o&nbsp;&nbsp; Known as a high class hotel brand, the Marriot is experienced with holding large events.&nbsp; It&rsquo;s a wonderful place for a wedding, and has a ball room with capacity of 400 people.&nbsp; If you have guests coming from out of town, or just want to make the night of your wedding easy by staying in the same location as the party, it makes a lot of sense to have your wedding here.&nbsp;

12.&nbsp; Embassy Suites by Hilton
o&nbsp;&nbsp; The Embassy Suites by Hilton has a capacity of 150 people, and advertises that it is a perfect place for one stop shopping intimate weddings.&nbsp;

We&rsquo;re excited to share with you one of the latest trends in wedding photography that we&rsquo;ve been absolutely loving: Photo Bombing Line Ups. &nbsp;Now, hear me out before you jump to any conclusions. &nbsp;Traditionally, photo bombing was seen as a nuisance, an unexpected intruder ruining a perfect shot. &nbsp;But this is done in a controlled way, it's evolved into a fun and spontaneous way to get photos with everyone at your wedding and add some character and unexpected charm to the photos.&nbsp; 
&nbsp;
The way it&rsquo;s done, is the bride and groom set up someplace (usually the dance floor) and all their guests line up for a quick fun photo.&nbsp; The guests group themselves, pose themselves, and do the most entertaining things!&nbsp; Sometimes the same guest will go through the line up multiple times in different groups or just because they want to do something fun in another photo.&nbsp; The whole process can usually be done in 5-15 minutes, and you get tons of photos with everyone involved.&nbsp;
